Drake surprises concertgoers at REBEL Entertainment Complex

Last Thursday, Toronto’s own Majid Jordan took the stage at REBEL to close out their The Space Between World Tour with a few surprise guests. The duo, signed to OVO Sound, brought out label-mates Baka Not Nice and the 6ix God himself – Drake.

Drake surprised concertgoers with his first Canadian performance of “God’s Plan”, which has spent 11 weeks at #1 on the Billboard charts, and took the opportunity to drop some announcements.

“The reason I’m here tonight is because I’m back in the city finishing my album,” he announced to the screaming crowd. “I got a new single dropping tomorrow night too, just in case you got some free time.” That single – “Nice For What” – released last Friday night with an epic video attached featuring a slew of famous female entertainers.

Drake also announced that OVO Fest would be returning this summer to the Air Canada Centre.
